Welcome to the Islamic Center
Mishkaat Institute, an Islamic center for Quran and Hadith studies, was founded by scholar Syed Raza Hussain Rizvi in Qom, Iran, in 1998. At Mishkaat, we focus on Quranic studies such as Mafheem, Tafseer, and other Quran programs tailored for children, teenagers, and youth before marriage. We also offer Tarbiah classes for mothers, among many different activities. Mishkaat Institute has recently launched a new campaign called "Mishkaat Pilgrims," providing guidance from Maulana Syed Raza Hussain for those interested in performing Ziyarat, with destinations including Umrah, Iran, Iraq, and tourism.
Founded in 2017 by the esteemed scholar Syed Raza Hussain Rizvi in Qom, Iran, the Mishkaat Institute is a leading Islamic center dedicated to the teachings of the Quran and Hadith. Rooted in tradition and focused on accessible Islamic education, we provide in-person classes in Virginia and virtual programs that reach learners worldwide. Our offerings range from in-depth Quranic studies like Mafheem and Tafseer to programs specifically designed for youth, women, and families, all intended to foster Islamic knowledge, character, and a deep connection with faith.
Mishkaat Institute is committed to promoting a lifelong journey of learning for all ages. Through our Quran Academy, students can engage in Quranic studies, and qualified teachers can join our team to educate the next generation. Our popular “Basics for Kids” program is tailored for children ages 7-13, covering Islamic stories, good manners (Ikhlaq), and life skills through engaging lessons. For adult women, our “Women’s Ahkam and Daily Challenges” classes offer practical guidance on navigating their roles in today’s Western society. Additionally, through our “Mishkaat Pilgrims” campaign, we support Muslims seeking to embark on pilgrimages for Ziyarat, Umrah, and cultural tours under the trusted guidance of Syed Raza Hussain.
Our mission at Mishkaat Institute is to provide a foundation of Islamic knowledge that empowers individuals and families to live by the Quran and Ahlul Bayt teachings in their daily lives. We aim to inspire character development (Tarbiya) in children, impart essential Islamic values to women, and foster a spiritually uplifting community for all. Through inclusive, multilingual classes and mentorship, we hope to be a source of guidance and strength, enabling Muslims to fulfill their religious duties with knowledge and understanding in a way that respects their unique cultural contexts.
Mishkaat Institute is guided by a dedicated team of leaders who bring both expertise and passion to every aspect of our mission:
